24K gold plated and hand painted cloisonne ornament from Kitty Kelly Designs features a mountain scene with classic Vermont icons, like the Statehouse in Montpelier, a covered bridge, and a cow. Comes packaged in a decorative box. Cloisonne ornments are made using an ancient 8 step process that involves inlaying enamel colors into each cell of the ornament, firing the ornament at very high temperatures, and then polishing and gold plating the final product. The handcrafted nature of the process means no two ornaments are exactly alike.
